Chatham County Police Department Teddy Bear Drive

Chatham County Police Department has partnered with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity to host a Teddy Bear Drive now until July 9. There will be boxes located at all three Chatham County Police Precincts (West Chatham, Islands Precinct, and Whitefield Precinct), Bible Baptist Church (Skidway Road), and Kingdom Life Church (West Montgomery Crossroads). We are asking the community to please donate new and gently used stuffed animals to serve as an instant comfort to kids in unbearable situations.

Once these stuffed animals are donated they will be distributed to the Officers of Chatham County. When an officer is dispatched to a call that involves a child, they will be able to give the child a stuffed animal. The hope is to leave the child with a pleasant interaction with law enforcement regardless of the nature of the original call.

The Landings Association (600 Landings Way South) also will be collecting teddy bears to assist with this drive. Please drop them off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the front reception desk.
