Landings Harbor Marina

The weather continues to keep most of our boaters from going out on the water. There have been a few brave souls who have bundled up and ventured out on the sunnier afternoons. Boat movements nearly doubled from the previous week, so hopefully that is a good sign that we are inching closer, albeit slowly, towards true boating season. We are open every day from 8-5 and welcome everyone to bundle up and come down to enjoy the views. Lately, the pelicans have been truly fun to watch as they circle the basin and dive into the water for fish.

Marina Ship’s Store

This week, we received the replenishment of the solar shirts with the Skidaway Island area map on the back. We also received new women’s boardshorts from Coolibar with a 9” inseam. There were several requests last summer for longer women’s shorts. Come on in and try them on! The whiteboard got the Valentine’s Day treatment. And speaking of Valentine’s Day, don’t forget spoil your loved one with some custom Landings Marina apparel and merchandise from the Ship’s Store.

Landings Sailing Club

The Landings Sailing Club dedicated last Saturday’s Frostbite Race to Todd Williams. They had nearly all fleet boats out on the water for the race and a terrific turnout after at the Tiki Bar to share stories and remember Todd, who was such a large part of the club and the local Savannah sailing community.

The two-day intensive course includes interactive classroom instruction that will be held Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The water session will be held the following Sunday, Tuesday, or Wednesday based on student and instructor availability, weather, and tides. Class size is limited to 10. The cost is $100 per student. $25 will be refunded if you join TLSC within 30 days. You must be a Landings resident. Questions: Call Angela Margolit (973-296-8011). To register, email her (amargolit@hotmail.com).

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain and fill any openings from the wait list.

Delegal Creek Marina

The dockside restrooms were out of service for a couple of days. Glad to report that they are back up and running due to a quick response from the plumbers. The weather is looking up, so we look forward to seeing our residents take advantage and get out on the water.

We also had a group of people ferried to Ossabaw Island out of Delegal by Captain (Rock) Reed. Hoping they enjoy their stay as well!
