Landings Way South Community Path – Hazardous Tree Removal (Continuation)

This week, staff continued working on evaluating and removing hazardous trees along the community path that runs alongside Landings Way South. Areas along the same path with little to no ground cover are also being evaluated as areas to use beneficial reuse material from the street sweeping program. This will provide a more aesthetically pleasing look than bare earth while also helping the erosion of soils.

TLA Administration Building

On Friday, Eckard Flooring installed the new carpet squares in the Administration Lobby. Several weeks ago, staff discovered a water leak in the Lobby area, wherein the carpet was subsequently damaged. The new carpet squares match the carpet that was installed in the conference room last year.

New Bench Donated by Skidaway Audubon Installed

On Tuesday, staff installed a new bench at the Sparrow Field that was generously donated by Skidaway Audubon. The bench is constructed of recycled materials and will require minimal maintenance for many years to come.

Delegal Marina Sunset Pavilion Ice machine

During an inspection of the Delegal Marina Sunset Pavilion rental facility this week, staff discovered that the ice machine was inoperable. Staff reached out to our service provider (Hudgins Company, Inc.) to schedule a repair. Hudgins Company Inc. was onsite Wednesday and determined the hanger for the damper arm that controls the off-cycle switch was damaged. The part has been ordered and will be installed once the contractor receives it.

2022 Road Repair and Repaving Project

This year’s project includes the resurfacing of more than 70,000 square yards of asphalt. Barring any delays, the project should be completed by the beginning of May. Below is a projected timeline for the road resurfacing project.

  • The Settlement/Dame Kathryn Drive - February 7 - 18
  • North Gate/Entry and Exit Lanes - February 21 – 25
  • Monastery Road - February 28 – March 11
  • Romerly Road - March 14 – 25
  • Shellwind Drive - April 4 – 22
  • Westcross Bridge (the western side of the bridge) - April 18

Please make sure that you are signed up to receive updates via Smart911 and Landings Association emails. All updates and changes to the project will be communicated through these platforms. Thank you in advance for your patience and support as we continue to improve the infrastructure located throughout the community.

Dog Park

Staff purchased and installed two new water fountains for dogs at the Dog Park this week thanks to the generous donations of its patrons. We know the dogs and their patrons are excited about these new additions to the Park!
