Public Works...Working for You!
Landings Community Park Perimeter Path
After months of shipping delays, staff finally received the marine matting for the perimeter path at Landings Community Park. The marine matting will be installed on top of the concrete base to provide a low-impact surface for runners and walkers. Installation will begin next month.
Curb Installation at Landings Harbor
Absolute concrete completed the installation of curbing along one side of the parking lot at Landings Harbor this week. This additional curbing was installed to improve drainage, prevent further erosion, and protect the landscaping from golf cart damage. Absolute Concrete also replaced one of the damaged concrete pads inside the marina.
2022 Road Repair and Resurfacing Project
Over the next week, Bennett Paving will begin mobilizing their equipment in preparation for the road repair and resurfacing project in The Settlement. This project is scheduled to begin on February 7.
Storm Drain Camera Inspections
Staff, in conjunction with Southeast Pipe, completed camera inspections of the storm drain pipes on Monastery Road this week. Southeast Pipe will begin lining the sections of piping requiring repair in the beginning of February (exact date to be confirmed with contractor next week). This work is being completed ahead of the date in which Monastery Road is scheduled for repaving.
