#OptOutside Outdoor Learning Workshop for Teachers on March 2

By Kristin Peney - kristinp@landings.org

A mere 20 minutes outside has been shown to increase the ability to concentrate and improve other cognitive functions, but how often do we get 20 minutes outside…especially students? This workshop is designed to help teachers utilize the outdoor spaces available on their campuses. Participants will experience outdoor learning activities from the perspective of the student and then practice flipping an existing lesson for use outdoors.

The Outdoor Learning Workshop is scheduled for March 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Landings Association’s Administrative Building (600 Landings Way South). Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Priority will be given to currently practicing teachers. Please use this link to register: https://landings.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=651.
